1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Clarent Advisory LLC ("we," "us," "our"), which operates Dollar Debt Plan and the website dollardebtplan.com (together, the "Service"). By accessing, purchasing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service is

The Service is a self-service web application that takes information you enter — your income, expenses, debts, and related figures — and organizes it into a cash-flow overview, a projected debt-free date, a suggested payoff order, and a step-by-step automation guide. All calculations are estimates based solely on the information you provide and on general assumptions. Actual results depend on your real-world circumstances and decisions.

3. Not professional advice

The Service is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not, and must not be treated as, financial, investment, debt-counseling, legal, accounting, or tax advice. We are not a financial advisor, broker, lender, or credit-counseling agency. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions. Consider consulting a licensed professional before acting on anything you see in the Service.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use or purchase the Service.

5. License and acceptable use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal financial planning. Access is unlocked with a unique license key issued to you at the time of purchase; this key is for your personal use and may not be shared, resold, or published. You agree not to: resell or redistribute the Service or your license key; copy, decompile, or reverse-engineer the Service except as permitted by law; use it for any unlawful purpose; or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to it or its systems.

6. Purchases and payment

The Service is offered for a one-time payment of $29 USD (or the price shown at checkout). Payments are processed by Gumroad, which acts as the merchant of record; by purchasing, you also agree to Gumroad's terms. You are responsible for any applicable taxes. We may change pricing for future purchases, but a change will not affect a purchase you have already completed. After purchase, Gumroad issues you a unique license key, which you enter once to unlock the app on each device you use. Access to the app is provided over the internet; the app itself runs in your browser and stores your data on your device.

7. Refunds

Because the Service is a digital product that is delivered and fully accessible immediately upon purchase, all sales are final and we do not offer refunds. That said, payments are handled by Gumroad as merchant of record, and Gumroad may issue refunds, reversals, or chargebacks in accordance with its own buyer-protection and payment policies, which are outside our control. If you run into a technical problem accessing the Service, email info@dollardebtplan.com and we'll help you get it working.

8. Affiliate and referral links

The Service contains referral or affiliate links to third-party companies (for example, Ally and SoFi). If you open an account or make a purchase through these links, we may earn a referral bonus or commission at no additional cost to you. These links are informational and are not personalized recommendations or endorsements of your suitability for any product. We are not responsible for third-party products, services, or websites.

9. Your data

You retain full control of the information you enter, which is stored on your own device and not on our servers. How we handle the limited information we do receive (such as payment details via Gumroad) is described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, logo, and software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you. "Dollar Debt Plan" and our logo are our marks and may not be used without permission.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted, that its calculations or projections will be accurate, or that using it will produce any particular financial outcome.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, savings, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for it. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

14. Third-party links and services

The Service may link to third-party websites and services that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, products, or practices, and your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

15. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service, and we may update these Terms, at any time. Material changes to the Terms will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and intellectual-property provisions) will survive.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
