The short version: The financial information you enter into Dollar Debt Plan — your income, bills, debts, and credit scores — is stored only in your own web browser, on your own device. It is never transmitted to us or to any server, and we never see it. The only personal information we handle is what our payment processor (Gumroad) needs to take your one-time $29 payment.

1. Who we are

Dollar Debt Plan ("we," "us," "our") operates the website dollardebtplan.com and the Dollar Debt Plan web application (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Clarent Advisory LLC. You can reach us at info@dollardebtplan.com.

2. Information you enter into the app stays on your device

Dollar Debt Plan is a "local-first" tool. Everything you type into it — income, spending, bills, debts, balances, interest rates, credit scores, account nicknames, and your automation progress — is saved using your browser's local storage on the device you're using. This data:

is not sent to us, uploaded to any server, or stored in any cloud by us;
is not sold, shared, rented, or used for advertising;
stays on your device until you clear it, use "Start over," or clear your browser data;
can be exported by you into a backup file that only you control (e.g., saved to your own Google Drive, iCloud, OneDrive, or Dropbox) so you can move it between your devices.

Because we never receive this information, we cannot access, recover, or delete it for you — you are always in control of it.

3. Information we do receive

a. Payment information (via Gumroad)

When you buy the Service, payment is processed by Gumroad, Inc., which acts as the merchant of record for the sale. We do not collect or store your full card number. Gumroad collects the information needed to process the transaction (such as your name, email address, billing details, and card information) and shares limited information with us, such as your email address and a record that the payment succeeded, so we can confirm your purchase and provide support. Gumroad's handling of your information is governed by Gumroad's Privacy Policy.

b. Basic server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information when a page is requested (such as IP address, browser type, and time of request) for security and reliability. These logs are not used to identify you and are not combined with any financial data (which we never receive).

c. Analytics (privacy-respecting)

On our public website pages we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics service that does not use tracking cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. It tells us things like how many people visited a page — not who they are. We do not run analytics inside the app itself.

d. Advertising measurement (public pages only)

On our public marketing pages — the home page and the live demo — we may run the Meta (Facebook) pixel so we can measure whether our advertising works. It records things like that a page was viewed, that someone opened the demo, that someone interacted with the demo, and that a purchase was made. It does not receive any of the numbers you type: your income, bills, debts, balances and plan are never transmitted anywhere, from any page.

The pixel is not present inside the app itself (app.html). The app you pay for contains no analytics, no advertising code, and makes no tracking requests of any kind. If you would rather not be measured on the public pages, any standard content blocker will stop the pixel, and the site and the demo will work exactly the same.

e. Email you send us

If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include so we can respond.

f. License verification and embedded media

When you unlock the app, the license key you enter is sent to our verification service (a serverless function hosted on Supabase) to confirm your purchase with Gumroad; this transmission does not include any of the financial data you enter. Some pages embed third-party media — for example, a how-to video hosted on Bunny Stream — and when that content loads, the provider may receive standard technical request data (such as your IP address and browser type), governed by its own privacy policy.

4. Cookies and local storage

The Dollar Debt Plan app itself does not use tracking cookies; it uses your browser's local storage to save your plan on your device. Our website analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) is cookieless. Our checkout provider (Gumroad) and any embedded media may set their own cookies as described in their policies. You can clear local storage and cookies at any time through your browser settings.

5. Affiliate and referral links

Some pages — in particular the Automation Steps — include referral or affiliate links to third-party financial companies (for example, Ally and SoFi). If you open an account through one of these links, we may receive a referral bonus at no additional cost to you. These links are provided because we believe the products may be useful; they are not personalized recommendations. The third parties' own privacy policies apply once you leave our site.

6. How we use information

We use the limited information we receive only to: process and confirm your payment; provide customer support; keep the Service secure and working; understand aggregate usage; and comply with our legal obligations. We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell it.

7. Data retention

Payment records are retained by Gumroad and by us for as long as needed for accounting, tax, and legal purposes. App data lives only on your device and is retained by you until you remove it.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal information a business holds about you, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Because the sensitive financial data you enter never leaves your device, most of that data is already entirely within your control. For the limited payment-related information handled through Gumroad, you can contact us at info@dollardebtplan.com and we will respond consistent with applicable law. We do not sell personal information.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect the limited information we handle, and payments are processed over encrypted connections by Gumroad. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but keeping your financial data on your own device — rather than in our cloud — significantly reduces risk.
